Site Certification Engine ECU Calibration Services

June 2023- iNNOVATIVE Engine Consulting (IEC) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Power Solutions International (PSIX) as an exclusive Qualified Engine Manufacturer (QEM) for NEW PSI Stationary Engines operating on Natural Gas (NG), or Natural Gas derivative fuels, that are exempt from EPA 40 CFR PART 1048 where the owner/operator must comply with the requirements of 40 CFR PART 60 SUBPART JJJJ in “Site Certified” emissions installations. 

Under this QEM arrangement, IEC is exclusively licensed and authorized to customize the site-specific engine’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) emission’s calibration for exhaust emissions optimization.  This may be with the native PSI exhaust aftertreatment system, an OEM or site operator’s preferred exhaust aftertreatment system, or a combination thereof to achieve tailpipe emissions lower than that of generally certified product.

IEC will directly provide engineering services and support to equipment OEMs and/or exhaust aftertreatment suppliers, and OEMs will purchase “Site Certified-capable” product directly from PSIX.
